High in the Sutter Buttes, discover the wonder of a star-filled sky above the valley glare and smog. After a stroll through the Buttes hillsides, you will be oriented on how astronomers have charted the heavens to map star locations. We'll review how the Earth's rotation makes the stars seem to revolve around us, and pick out constellations moving through the night sky. With our huge telescope, you will be albe to peer into deep space to find distant nebula and galaxies that are not visible to the naked eye.
Meet at the museum at 4:15pm and return around 10pm.
